How were you introduced to Ayurveda?
I was introduced to Ayurveda in Yoga Teacher Training in 2002 through Samudra School of Living Yoga.
How has Ayurveda changed your life?
It has transformed everything about my life. But, specifically how to live in rhythm instead of against it and how to be more patient and understanding. Ayurveda taught me to listen and understand myself and how everything we do is the product of cause and effect.
Which Banyan product(s) are your currently using and why?
Now that is the Winter Season and I travel a lot, I am loving my Hingvastak churna, Ashwagandha/Bala oil for Abhyanga and Nasya Oil!
When are you most likely to go out of balance and how do you bring yourself back in balance using Ayurveda?
I am most likely to go out of balance due to my travel schedule as it creates much instability; however dinacharya, meditation and pranayama along with a seasonally appropriate diet and herbal support keep me grounded and healthy!
Favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world is India as I’ve been going there as often as possible since 2005 and each trip inspires me more!
Playing and spending time with my dog Raja ! Hiking/trekking and reading.
The Bhagavad Gita, The Alchemist by Paul Coelho, The Eleventh Hour by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait
Who inspires you?
Nature, Mother Earth inspires me. The change in seasons, Her magnificent landscapes I see as I travel the world and her nurturing beauty. She is both compassionate and fierce; loving and strong.
