How has Ayurveda changed your life?

Ayurveda is my life! It has given me a lens to view the world in a way that allows me to live a more balanced and harmonious life. Ayurveda has also blessed me with the gifts of improved health, friends, community and livelihood.

What is your favorite Banyan product and why?

I’m usually using 6 or so products at any given time but each one with a specific intent. Triphala for daily detoxing, Blood Cleanse for a healthy complexion and Mental Clarity for focus…I’m also at an age where I feel better if I’m eating less and digesting more so Vata Digest is quite helpful.

When are you most likely to go out of balance and how do you bring yourself back in balance using Ayurveda?

With Vata being my primary dosha, I am prone to going out of balance pretty much all the time. I’ve learned to take frequent breaks throughout the day to do a short meditation or pranayama to ground me and bring me back to center. Of course I like to use my herbal allies as well. Right now my favorite is Ashwagandha extract. I take it around 2 p.m. to calm my mind and to support my energy levels so I can finish the day strong.
