An Ayurvedic herbal powder for joint and muscle support. Customers said it helped with flexibility and reduced joint issues, with "high quality" praised. Some noted price concerns and uncertain effectiveness, stating "extremely expensive." Results may take time as "herbal supplements work slowly." Powder has chunky texture; tablets available.
- It helped my pelvis a lot. I can clearly feel that it is more loose and same applies to joints
- I am happy to find a natural way to alleviate health issues

This is one of the several herbs that I take daily for vata dosha. I get all my Ayurvedic herbs from Banyan Botanicals as they are of high quality. Since I take several herbs every day it is hard to isolate the effects of a single herb but I believe this one helps with joints and muscles, which have always been troublesome esp. in spring time. This season my joint and muscle issues are significantly less than last year. I am happy to find a natural way to alleviate health issues.
Even though I combine yogaraj guggulu with ashwaganda and dashamula, i can say that it helped my pelvis a lot. I can clearly feel there that it is more loose and the samé applies to other joints:-) i was a little bit frustrated that nobody told me before that you can help yourself with your flexibility with herbs.. i was doing Yoga but still could not cross certain borders.. and now i know that it is possible:-) thank you so much for this herb and i am also glad that with buying it i can be sure that it is grown sustainably and i am not depleting the nature:-)
I have been taking for a few weeks now but my joints are still sore and pop a lot. No idea if it is working or if I need to wait longer to notice any effect. It's extremely expensive so I hope it is working.
Thank you for your feedback Jacob! For many people, the herbs can take some time to work deeply in the body and create a noticeable effect. Stick with it for awhile longer and continue to notice how you feel. We also recommend taking some time to read our Guide to Joint Health for additional ways of supporting your healing journey:

This stuff is so expensive yet it does nothing. Honestly I am starting to think it makes my joints and muscles feel worse. I'm super vata. Was really hoping it worked and I really wish I did not waste the money on an entire pound of this non working stuff.
Hi Jacob, thanks for sharing your experience! While this product works wonders for some, we recognize that all bodies are unique and it may not be the right fit for your needs. This product tastes extremely good. Love the flavor in my mouth. Too early to tell if it is benefiting me yet but I can tell it's an excellent product.
I like this product

I have been using Banyan products for 20 years and am always assured of wonderful quality and service. Guggulu powder is naturally always a bit chunky, so you may consider using the tablets if you are not mixing the guggulu with other herbs.

I don't think about it. I just take it.
Maybe after adequate time, there may be some thoughts arising. Like maybe after a few months. Herbal supplements work slowly. Be patient.
I've been taking several herbs from Banyan that were prescribed by my Ayurvedic Dr and am very happy with the quality of the herbs. I would like to see the bulk herbs sold in a paper bag of some sort however. The plastic pouches are single-use and have to be thrown into the landfill. It is counterintuitive trying to heal my body at the expense of the Earth. Our survival as a species and overall health and wellbeing depend on the health and well being of the planet. Please come up with a better solution.
Excellent Product. I have been using this product for quite a while and because of the bad taste I bought a capsule machine that accommodates 100 size 0 gelatin capsules. I use a strainer because of the chunkyness and it comes out powder which makes it very easy to encapsulate in My machine. My question, does the gelatin capsules in any way interfere with the nature of Yogaraj Guggulu?
Gelatin capsules are somewhat controversial in Ayurvedic circles as they are not vegetarian. So beyond that general consideration, there is no particular issue with the capsules and Yogaraj Guggulu. Gelatin derived from grass fed livestock is considered preferable nutritionally to 'run of the mill' gelatin.
why is the spice jar size no longer available?
While the spice jar size of our Yogaraj Guggulu is currently out of stock, we plan to continue to carry this product.
I just purchased this powder and having a hard time drinking it because of the taste. Will it be absorbed if I apply it to my skin for example use it as a body scrub with sesame oil?
Thank you for your question. For better absorption into the skin, you'd need to brew the Yogaraj Guggulu powder into a concentrated tea and infuse it into the oil, which could be challenging. To help with the taste, you might try mixing the powder into warm water and adding honey or a natural sweetener.
Any differences or advantages to taking pill form vs. powder form of yoga raj guggulu?
It is really a matter of preference. Tablets take the most time to assimilate in the body, as they must travel through the digestive tract and be broken down, but many people enjoy the convenience of being able to take tablets. Powder is the most traditional way to take herbs, and has a more immediate effect. However, the taste of powders can be challenging for some, and it's not always convenient to carry powders when traveling. For more information on the differences, we recommend reading this article: https://www.banyanbotanicals.com/info/blog-the-banyan-insight/details/which-form-of-the-herb-is-best-for-me/
What would you recommend if I have VATA in my spine....I have a crack down the middle of my tongue which looks a little deranged.
