I buy ayurvedic products from Banyan on the recommendation of my vaidya, who is also an M.D., so I know the products are good. I’ve been impressed with the service which I’ve found to be prompt, personal, and helpful.

Really love this stuff! My yoga teaher recommended that I take it for stiffness of joints and all over. It's working well, but what I really love about it is the energy it provides!

I was recommended wild yam and chasteberry to help me navigate the challenge of pitta excess I am experiencing as I transition into menopause. Would this be a good addition to that regime as I also have joint pain and inflammation? I also use Womens Transition, Ashwaghanda and just restarted Shatavari. I want to be certain I am balancing not overloading my body. My intention with this supplement is to help ease the lower back pain and femural neck soreness I experience before my morning yoga practice. Thank you!
Hi there, Elle,
Thank you for reaching out to us here at Banyan Botanicals.
You're welcome to try adding Kaishore Guggulu to your daily routine to see if it supports you with how you intend it to. However, you are working with several formulas and herbs already, and it may be a good idea to look towards a simple approach if and where you can. With that said, Kaishore Guggulu is meant to help clear and cleanse out excess heat from the joints, and for that reason it may be something to try to work with for a time.
Keep in mind, the guggulu formulas are deeply cleansing and are meant to be used for a shorter period of time than the other herbs you're working with. While there is no hard-and-fast time frame, a good example may be 1-3 months to work on cleansing your joints with the guggulu formula, then pause it until a later time when perhaps the heat-related joint discomfort returns.
I hope that helps. If you have any further questions like these, it may be best to reach us by email directly at info@banyanbotanicals.com, by phone at 1-800-953-6424, or through our chat feature on our website, as we don't get to these questions on the website as often as we would like. Have a lovely rest of your day!

Hi, can i take kaishore guggulu and kanchanar guggulu at the same time, like in the same day ?
Thanks for your question Isaiah,
While many of our formulas can be taken concurrently, the guggulu formulas are particularly potent. For these products, we generally recommend taking only one at a time. That said, we encourage you to seek the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner for more individualized advice. Be well!
I have been taking regular Guggulu because I started following the cleanse in PRIME book...I've enjoyed it after a number of months I decided to reorder and I'm wondering if this formula might be even better. I am mostly Pitta constitution and definitely at an age where any yoga or even walks can leave my muscles and joints cranky...is this a better option for me?
Thank you for your question! Because we are not practitioners, we encourage you to seek the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner or other qualified healthcare provider in order to receive the most qualified and individualized advice according to your specific needs. That said, Kaishore Guggulu is very supportive of the musculo-skeletal system. You may also want to look at Yogaraj Guggulu, which is nourishing and supportive for joints. Please be aware that these guggulu formulas are heavy on the digestive system and should only be taken for a month or so at a time, with a few weeks break in between.
Wondering why there is silicon dioxide included in this powder. I like to buy powders vs tablets/capsules/pills because I had thought I could always count on powders being a more pure/safe means of ingesting herbs, plant medicine without any fillers. Really wish this didn't include silicon dioxide -- don't understand it's inclusion, and especially being the 2nd ingredient listed?
Thank you for your inquiry. Using traditional Ayurvedic methods, this guggulu powder has been purified in a decoction of Triphala. Because Guggulu is a hard resin, it is combined with a natural flowing agent to make the resin more easily utilized. We have used naturally occurring silicon dioxide from quartz (silica) to serve this purpose.
