3 CCF Tea Blends for Your Wellness Ritual

3 CCF Tea Blends for Your Wellness Ritual

When it comes to Ayurvedic rituals for health and well-being, drinking tea is one of the simplest ways to slow down, savor the moment, and connect with the magic of plants. Whether enjoyed as a part of your morning routine, a moment of tranquility in the middle of a busy day, or a way to unwind and relax in the evening, the benefits of tea can be treasured all day long—and all year long too!

One of our favorite teas is CCF Tea, the famous Ayurvedic combination of cumin, coriander, and fennel that is commonly used to support strong digestion. Inspired by this tea and by Mother Nature’s rich pharmacopoeia, we've created three additional unique Ayurvedic CCF tea blends.

Using CCF Tea as a base, each blend uses organic whole flowers, seeds, and leaves to make three delicious teas that are as tasty as they are beneficial. Crafted for year-round enjoyment, these teas are perfect for winter warmth or as refreshing summer sun teas.

Even if you’re not cleansing, this blend can be enjoyed at any time and is especially beneficial when sipped before or after meals to maintain strong, healthy digestion on a daily basis. Energetically, its golden color and warm, comforting spices will make you feel like you are drinking an invigorating cup of liquid sunshine.

This is the perfect tea to sip after a busy day at work or just before going to sleep.

How to Brew the Perfect Cup

When done with intention and presence, the process of brewing your tea can be just as satisfying as drinking it. Use it as a time to slow down and tune into the power of the plants, appreciating the unique colors, aromas, and flavors as the herbs release their magic.

Although there are many ways to brew a cup of tea, the following methods are two of our favorites. They are simple, easy, and adaptable to whatever season or climate you are in.

Brewing Hot Infusions

A hot infusion is probably the most common way of preparing herbal tea.

  • Add ½–1 tablespoon of tea to 8 ounces of hot water.
  • Let steep for 5–7 minutes, strain, and enjoy!

You will notice that the flavors will change depending on how long you steep the tea, so feel free to play around and find the timing that you love best!

Brewing Sun Tea

Sun teas are a great option for the summer months when the sun is in its full glory. Rather than boiling water, this method of brewing allows the sun’s warmth to steep the plants, infusing your tea with a natural energy and radiance.

  • Add 3 tablespoons of tea to 6 cups of cool or room temperature water in a sealed clear vessel, such as a mason jar.
  • Place directly in the full sun for 2–6 hours.
  • Strain and serve.

You can also store your sun tea in the fridge for a cool and refreshing beverage all day long. The longer you steep your tea, the stronger the taste will be. Experiment with the timing to find what most delights your taste buds.

Making the Most of Your Time with Tea

Carving out time in your day to brew and sip a cup of tea may just become your next well-loved ritual. As you will find, it is a simple but powerful way to honor your senses, soothe your nerves, and connect to the beauty of the present moment.

Rather than rushing through the process, give yourself time to slow down and tune into your senses. Enjoy the scents and textures of the different herbs and flowers as you prepare your tea. Close your eyes and inhale the aromas. Let your breath deepen and your thoughts disperse. Allow your teatime to bring you into a more expansive and meditative state.

Tea can be a form of art. Give yourself creative freedom to design your teatime ritual in any way that brings you pleasure and nourishes your soul. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Read a favorite poetry book while you sip.
  • Enjoy your tea with a journal, and list what you are grateful for.
  • Share your tea with a friend or loved one, taking time to connect.
  • Sit outside and tune into the nature that surrounds you.
  • Make your tea your meditation, simply savoring every sip and every breath.

No matter how or when you choose to enjoy your tea, we hope that these blends will provide you with a delicious way to brew a daily dose of delightful flavor, vibrant health, peaceful calm, and joyful well-being.
