How To Use
Combine 1½ teaspoons Mellow Mind with 8 ounces hot water. Let steep for 5–7 minutes, strain, and serve.
The longer you brew Mellow Mind, the more the flavor changes.
- To enjoy a subtler flavor that highlights the floral notes of lavender and chamomile, steep for 5–7 minutes.
- For a stronger brew that unlocks the flavors of the cardamom, cumin, coriander, and fennel seeds, steep for 10+ minutes.
- Mellow Mind can also be enjoyed as a sun tea during the summer months. Add 3 tablespoons of tea to 6 cups of room temperature water in a sealed clear jar, place in the sun for 2–6 hours, strain, and serve.

Mellow Mind is. delicious and calming tea. Unfortunately the small bag of tea that is in the bigger container is too expensive for me.
This tea is really helpful for relaxation and ease. Unfortunately the amount of tea in the container is very little for the price. I have bought this tea a few years ago and the amount was much more. Sorry that I cannot continue to purchase this.
Mellow Mind has a lovely earthy, mild flavor. When I drink it I do feel calm and mellow.
Having a Pitta Dosha, I am not much of a hot beverage drinker but Mellow Mind is delicious and calming. I have a cup right before my evening shower and by bed time I am relaxed and ready for sleep. I sometimes have a cup in the middle of a hectic day to help get myself centered. GREAT STUFF!
Thanks for sharing your tea ritual Denise, we feel calmer just reading this!
Tastes delicious. Just had my first cup. Hoping it helps me
I like it
After a life-long problem with falling asleep, and then in my later years staying asleep, drinking a cup of this tea about 1/2 hour before bed and rubbing Sleep Easy Oil on the soles of my feet have given me wonderful relief. I wish everyone with sleep issues would at least try the tea and the oil, but you have to give them time to work. In my case the change came gradually over a couple of months, but am I ever glad I hung in there.
Pleasant flavor and excellent for an evening tea.
Love it, it’s a gentle way to relax throughout the day
Relaxing
This tea is very helpful with my digestive issues and help stay more focus and keep my mind at ease.
I really enjoyed this blend. I will be using this blend more because it has a nicer flavor than the tea I was making at home for the CCF tea. Thank you!
I just love this herbal tea. It’s perfect after an agitated day. Just sit quietly in a corner an enjoy the delicious flavors!
Everything arrived and looks good. Teat tasted good too.
good
I followed the directions on the package to the letter; I didn't like the taste of the tea it produced (I would have given it two stars, max). So I made some modifications. I added 16 oz of water to two teaspoons of tea, then added a teaspoon of loose spearmint tea leaves and set to a boil. Then I turned the heat down and simmered for 7-10 minutes. The taste was perfect. The added spearmint "lifted" the chamomile and other herbs and gave it a smoother finish. I will try adding peppermint leaves next.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Amanda. We're sorry to hear the initial steeping didn't quite suite your tastebuds, but we love that you made this tea blend your own and found such a tasty solution!
Mellow Mind helps me to have a deep peaceful sleep, I still may wake up in the night and can fall back to sleep easily most of the times. I awake refreshed and replenished. I would recommend trying Mellow Mind
My family loves tea and I am always in search of something caffeine free and healthy that my 9 and 12 year old can also enjoy. This tea is it! With Chamomile and Brahmi, it is perfect for after school with the kids or apres ski with the family! I love the soothing qualities and calm mindset it provides in a hectic life.
This tea is such a lovely delight. It's like a warm hug, soothing, calming, uplifting.
I really love this tea. Because it’s a bit more savory, it almost reminds me of a broth rather than a tea. It’s very cozy and comforting. My new favorite.
This tea is such a great addition to my day. It's relaxing and tasty. Thank you!
This tea is lovely. I've been into western herbs for a couple of decades now and while all Banyan products are incredibly fresh, I was struck by the freshness and beauty of the chamomile flowers in particular. Like I just picked them myself along a mountain path! And added to the CCF it makes for a very enjoyable cup of tea. Love it~~. Thank you Banyan!
Oh so happy to know you're appreciating our farm-grown chamomile flowers, Barbara!
Delicious & true surrender to a calm mind!
I drink this tea every day after work. It's calming and balancing. Yet not too relaxing, so I can stay focused if needed for a couple more hours.
Can the Mellow Mind tea cause gas and bloating/aggravate Vata?
Thank you for this question, Alejandra. While our Mellow Mind tea is cooling and bitter, it is intended to be a tridoshic formula and supportive to all doshas! With that being said, many factors can contribute to an imbalance of vata in the body such as individual herbs within a formula or lifestyle practices and diet. Each body is so different and Ayurveda honors the uniqueness in us all. What may be supportive to one person, may not be for another.
I love this tea but how did it just go from 6 ounces to 1.5 ounces and the price increased by 4 times??? It went from around $3 an ounce to $12 an ounce.
The fancy new branded container is pretty but unnecessary if that is part of the reason for the price increase. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be buying this tea anymore and I'm really disappointed, so just wanted to share that.
Thank you for your question and your feedback, Stephanie!
We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment and appreciate your honesty about your experience. We have submitted your feedback which goes straight to our leadership team, as we're always looking to learn and grow. We are taking all feedback to heart from you and every customer who takes the time to share with us.
In hopes of offering more insight, we would like to share more details with you about the major changes our teas have undergone, including a change in size as you noted. With improved packaging and sourcing, we've also had to adjust the pricing for our tea line. This reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and fairness along the entire supply chain. At this time, all of our organic, loose leaf teas price out to less than $1 per serving with Mellow Mind Tea equating to $0.83 per serving.
We hope the new changes outlined below illuminate the care and reasoning behind our decision
Firstly, we've transformed our tea line and improved the quality by switching to small batch blending in-house which allows us to prioritize freshness and quality in our teas. This approach ensures that each batch is carefully crafted, allowing us to maintain better control over the flavor profile and consistency of our teas. By blending in smaller quantities, we can guarantee that you receive the freshest and most flavorful teas possible, enhancing your overall tea-drinking experience.
Additionally, we have transitioned from virgin plastic pouches to recyclable tubes made with paper, aligning with our commitment to environmental responsibility.
Lastly, we have been working with new and improved sourcing partners. Our tea ingredients are all certified organic and thoughtfully sourced from two primary locations: The United States and India. Collectively, the ingredients reflect the qualities of each region, as well as the hard work of our organic farming partners from both locations. Each region imbues a special scent, color, and vitality into the herbs which we aim to capture in each of these special tea blends. They reflect our efforts at wanting to support more regenerative organic and fair trade practices in herb cultivation, both at home domestically, and in India
We appreciate the opportunity to share the reasoning behind our tea changes and if we can be of further support, with this matter or anything else, please let us know. We are also always happy to answer any other questions or curiosities that may come up.
Thank you again and be well.
