A DEEPER LOOK AT THE SKIN
In Ayurveda, the skin is seen as having a direct relationship with the deeper ecology of the body and mind, expressing any internal imbalances on the outer surface of our being—literally. Red, irritated skin is typically a sign of the body eliminating excess pitta and natural toxins. Soothing Skin Balm offers the perfect cooling action.

Customers praised the balm's moisturizing and soothing properties, with many noting it "melts into skin" and helps with dryness, itching, and irritation. Positive feedback highlighted its effectiveness on acne, redness, and callouses. However, some found the scent unpleasant or "earthy," texture too thick, and noted it can stain fabric pink. Concerns about sizing/pricing changes emerged.

Very rich, but not greasy. Calming scent. I have been using it primarily on summer itches and razor burn which is usually a nightmare. It melts into my skin leaving it soft and not sticky or greasy like other balms I have tried. I really appreciate that it comes in glass.
I love this balm! I switched to it now that the weather is getting warmer and my pitta starts acting up with a few acne flare-ups. I've been using it as a night cream, and it's been amazing. It's so soothing, and the scent is incredibly calming—it helps me unwind before bed.
I have very dry flakey skin that sometimes itches. The soothing skin balm really helps. it moisturizes plus calms the itching. I also use it on my foot callouses and it helps with that as well. I like it so much that I have it on subscription so I will never be without it.
I am using this balm daily. During the dry, cold winter days, I have moist skin that seems clearer already! 2 weeks in opening this container. I use it every night at bedtime and with a splash of water in the a.m., have a nice complexion with a healthy glow.
First of all you should know that it stinks. Then you should know that it’s akin to Vaseline only messier. For me, it was a total waste of money.

I'm disappointed. I had to stop using it (on a patch of irritated skin on my abdomen) as it was staining my clothes. If there had been a warning that it stains fabric I would not have purchased it.

It doesn’t absorb and therefor feels a tad bit greasy on the skin and it has a slightly off putting odor
Size is lot smaller than previous ones.
And priced more.

Hello Cheryl, thank you for your feedback! We're so sorry the Soothing Skin Balm did not meet your expectations. We'll be reaching out directly to discuss a solution with you.
I saw information on Manjistha tablets and ordered them to help me do some cleansing and purifying. As I noticed the Soothing Skin Balm included Manjistha, I thought it would be good to use it in concert. I have had some skin issues that needed some new kind of support. After two weeks of using Manjistha tablets internally, and Soothing Skin Balm externally I was pleased to recognize obvious clearing and improved skin health.
This balm is miraculous on my face! I have rough, red bumps (not pimples) that only just appeared during menopause, and no other moisturizer was working. This balm goes on thick and oily but quickly gets absorbed into my skin. It leaves me feeling calm, soft, and a lot less itchy. It has an interesting orange hue, both in the pot and on my skin, and it smells faintly herbal. I do have to wait a bit before laying down for bed because it stains white fabric. I use it morning and night and I love it.
Hi Amy, thank you for your review! We're so glad the Soothing Skin Balm has been supportive for the excess heat in your skin.
I use this balm daily in the morning and it has seems to have calmed much of the redness. I love the texture and the fragrance.
good.
So, I received mine yesterday and because it's so cold here it was hard and I was able to dig a bit out and smooth on my dry, sore hands and thought, "this feels good, but digging it out it was a pain". But, this morning it was perfect and buttery and it zoomed from 3 stars to 5 right away. It feels like heaven on my skin and my hands are smooth and hydrated. Love this, love this love this and am smearing it everywhere that's dry. It's really the best body cream I've used.

I decided to try this when I read that it contains Vetiver which may be my #1 favorite earthy, grounding essential oil! I use it mainly on the dry skin of my legs. Hubby and I both like the balm but I wish it smelled even more strongly of Vetiver! No worries though, I have some Vetiver I can add to my liking! :)
Thank you for your kind words Linda! We're thrilled that you and your husband are enjoying the Soothing Skin Balm and the magical hint of vetiver. Please feel free to add extra essential oil until it is the perfect scent for you!
My husband and I both love this balm. I use it on my lips and cuticles (both fingers & toes), he uses it on his dry elbows & knees. It works much better than anything we've tried in the past... Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wow! I am using this balm as a replacement to petroleum jelly when I float in a sensory deprivation salt water pod. I love the smell. Warning: it will stain your white towels pink.
