ELDERBERRY'S EXCELLENCE
Elderberries are known for their rich phytochemistry and naturally occurring bioactive compounds, which include polyphenols, anthocyanins, and flavonoids. When compared to other fruits, elderberries are considered one of the richest sources of anthocyanins. These naturally occurring flavonoids give the berries their reddish purple color and contribute to their antioxidant properties.*

I am surprised to read the positive reviews and makes we wonder about the jar we received. When I saw the new Elderberry Honey I was really excited and ordered a jar right away. My family loves honey and also elderberries. However, no one liked this honey. It is a very dry paste (not easy to spread) and not sweet at all. It doesn't look or smell appetizing either. No one will eat it and we have pretty much a full jar left.
Hi NB, we appreciate your feedback and we're sorry the Elderberry Honey didn't meet your expectations. The blend is rather thick but should soften a bit after being stirred. We'll be reaching out to you directly to discuss a solution!
A while ago I bought one jar of this honey and one of the turmeric. Hubby and I like them both very much! I prefer the smoother texture of the turmeric honey BUT the absolutely delicious FLAVOR of the elderberry honey still makes IT my FAVORITE!!! I'm back to buy MORE!!! :)
We're so glad you're enjoying the Honeys, Linda! Thanks for the lovely review.
I love the flavor of this honey. It's an easy way to get your elderberry. It can even be used as a spread on on bread.
My new favorite Banyan product. I mix 1/2tsp to 1 tsp in a 8 to 12 ounces of warm water. . . it makes a great soothing beverage. . . with a subtly sweet flavor. Due to the herbs in the honey, it does leave some grit into the bottom of the cup but its not as annoying as other reviewers mention. What a great way to get a boost with great flavor and very little effort.
For folks who think this is a honey to mix with tea or make a drink. The texture, and look is different, and that puts people off. I actually like the taste and texture since I take it straight. It looks and tastes almost like a Chyawanprash , maybe a bit sweeter due to Honey. My use for this was purely as a health supplement, esp the Elderberry. It checks all boxes, except for price. $30 for a small quantity. .
