How To Use

Soak rice 1–4 hours.** Drain and rinse. Combine rice and water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until done, about 20 minutes.

**If using unsoaked rice, increase cooking time and water.

I love Banyan's basmati rice...I've used it for a very long time and it's the best I've found. However, this last batch I ordered smelled rancid instead of the freshness I'm used to from them. Bad or old batch maybe??? That's a very unusual occurrence for Banyan...it's never happened before.

There is a very noticeable difference with this rice. Visually, it is longer and more thin than any organic Basmati rice found in a store, even the very expensive brands. It cooks up beautifully in Kitchari or as a companion element to your meal. I found it quite easy to digest without any uncomfortable feelings. This is easily my family's favorite rice and the price is far better than a store or other companies!
