Good stuff

The powder is very bitter, so my practitioner told me to take a little bit of honey after drinking the powder to get rid of the bitter aftertaste. It seems to be helping so I am happy.

I'm really turned off by this taste but my practitioner has me taking it with warm water after lunch & dinner. I tried adding honey to the cup, but the bitter taste is hard for me to get down. Any other suggestions? The benefits far outweigh, so I'm trying to incorporate this into my routine.

Rachel Euell

It is not uncommon for an herb to become more palatable over time, so the longer you stick with it, the more likely it is that you will tolerate the taste better. Alternatively, you could try adding a little bit of honey to taste or try to encapsulate the herb powder to make administration easier. Keep in mind, taste is a crucial part of the healing process, and the preferred Ayurvedic method of taking herbs is in powdered form.
