Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program

Calling all Southern Oregon veggie lovers who are passionate about ethical farming practices—our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program was created for you!

Our CSA offers organic, sustainable, seasonal, and hyper-local produce to our Southern Oregon community, straight from Banyan Farm in Williams, Oregon.

Each CSA share offers a weekly box for 25 weeks (or almost six months) that is filled with fresh veggies. In addition to produce, boxes come with a mix of plant monographs, Ayurvedic diet info, recipes, and occasional bundles of fresh and dried herbs.

Knowing where and how our food is grown and handled is an important part of caring not only for our own health but also the health of the planet. At Banyan Farm, everything is ethically grown and harvested, and we are committed to sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices, including a polyculture design, crop rotations, composting, and supporting overall biodiversity in all that we do.

Participating in our CSA is a mutually beneficial relationship. It's an excellent way to bring a seasonal variety of vegetables and herbs into your life, try new recipes, and foster a connection with a small local farm. Your participation allows us to continue doing the work we love—providing fresh produce for our community—while supporting the organic and regenerative agriculture movement happening across the country.

What to Expect in Each Box

Each box comes with seasonal vegetables. Enjoy watching the change of seasons reflected in the change of vegetables you receive!

The early growing season (mid-May through June) brings lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, salad mix, spinach, kale, chard, bok choy, green garlic, radishes, salad turnips, fresh herbs, snap peas, arugula, cucumber, and zucchini.

In addition to much of what the early season provides, mid-season (July through September) offers tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, garlic, carrots, beets, green beans, potatoes, and sweet corn.

You will see a continuation of many of the vegetables from spring and summer in the late season (end of September through the end of October), as well as winter squash, garlic, leeks, apples, and pears.

1.  Choose your share size for the season.

The price of produce is less than market price, making this a great way to save on your produce spending throughout the year—not to mention the recipes, plant monographs, and occasional herbs!

Large shares: valued at $40 per box. Large share members pay $1000 for the year.

Medium shares: valued at $30 per box. Medium share members pay $750 for the year.

Small shares: valued at $20 per box. Small share members pay $500 for the year.

Before the season begins, you pay for your full share to receive a weekly box of produce from mid-May to the end of October (25 weeks total). Upfront payment allows us to fully plan out our growing season so we can ensure you receive an amazing weekly CSA box with all the seasonal produce outlined above.

2.  Choose your weekly pickup location.

Once a week, your produce box is delivered to a pickup point near you. You transfer the produce from the box that we provide into your own container.

We have four pickup options for the 2020 season:

  • At Banyan Farm in Williams, Oregon
  • At the Grants Pass Grower's Market on Saturdays
  • At the Ashland Grower's Market on Tuesdays
  • At Banyan Botanicals in Ashland, Oregon

If you are not in town on your pickup day, please arrange to have a friend pick up your box for you. Additionally, each member has two “vacation weeks.” During vacation weeks, a box will not be prepared for you. Following your return, you will receive the vacation produce share in addition to the week's regularly scheduled share.

When you come to pick up your share, please bring your own box or bag.

3.  Reserve your share.

To reserve your share for the season, simply email Farm Manager Tommy at tommy@banyanbotanicals.com. Let him know your share size, desired pickup location, and how you would like to pay.

Checks can be sent to:
