How To Use
How To Use
Take 1–2 shilajit supplements, once or twice daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
Tips on taking your Shilajit supplement:
- To start: If you're new to taking shilajit supplements and want to start slow, try taking one tablet daily for the first week, then increase if desired.
- To support energy: Take in the morning, or split between morning and evening for sustained benefits.
- Can take shilajit with or without food: Most rejuvenatives can typically be taken any time of day and don't need to be taken with food. If you have a sensitive stomach, try taking with food.
- Be consistent: Like most Ayurvedic herbs, shilajit works best when taken regularly as a part of your daily wellness routine. Many start to notice a difference within 2–4 weeks of consistent use.
What to Expect:
- Taste: Shilajit tablets have a mild, earthy aroma and a slightly bitter, mineral taste that is barely noticeable when swallowed with water.
- Size: The tablets are small, smooth, and easy to take, with a dark brown color that reflects the rich mineral content inside. Unlike raw shilajit resin, which is sticky and tar-like with a strong, bitter flavor, tablets offer a clean, no-fuss experience.
- Experience: Many people describe the effect as a steady, grounded sense of vitality—not a jolt, but a gradual feeling of clarity, more energy, and overall wellness that builds with consistent use.
If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or have a medical condition, please consult with your health practitioner prior to use. Keep out of the reach of children.

WHAT IS SHILAJIT?
Unlike most of our herbal products, this tar-like material is not actually harvested directly from a plant. Shilajit is created from the slow decomposition of plant material over many centuries, deep in the rocks of mountainous regions across the world. As it develops, it becomes a sticky, mineral-infused substance that is prized for its rejuvenating qualities.*

ETHICAL & SUSTAINABLE
Shilajit is wild collected in the summer months when the intense heat causes it to seep out through the rocks and into the open. As the popularity of this rejuvenating tonic has grown in recent years, so has demand, leading to some sustainability concerns. We ensure our shilajit is sustainably and ethically harvested, which is essential to its long term availability.

Shilajit isn't actually derived directly from a plant, like most of our other products. Shilajit is created from the slow decomposition of plant material over many centuries, deep in the rocks of mountainous regions across the world. As it develops, it becomes a sticky, mineral-infused substance that is prized for its rejuvenating qualities.
2. Why does sourcing matter for shilajit?
As shilajit has gained in popularity, the demand and strain on available sources has grown. Since shilajit is wild harvested and isn't a "crop" that can be easily cultivated, careful harvesting practices are key to ensure it will be available for years to come. This includes diversifying sourcing and staying in communication with harvesters.
3. How is Banyan's shilajit processed?
Banyan's shilajit is wild harvested during the warm summer months. The raw resin is then purified and prepared according to traditional Ayurvedic methods to remove any impurities, which involves a non-alcoholic extraction and filtration process using triphala tea. Once the shilajit is purified, it is formed into solid bars, then milled into a powder, and finally manufactured into our Shilajit tablets.
4. What are the minerals that are naturally a part of shilajit?
Shilajit is known to naturally contain 80+ minerals, including the essential minerals potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc.
5. How is the percentage of fulvic acid tested?
Results have been verified by independent laboratory testing; variations are expected from batch to batch.
