Step into Ceremony with Artisanal Tulsi Teas
Welcome to artisanal tea at its finest. Lovingly handcrafted on an organic, regenerative farm, these organic pressed medallions create an elevated ceremony. We offer four distinct tulsi varietals, each with its own subtle flavor notes and unique experience:
- Ethereal Ritual Tulsi: For an opening and expansive experience. Made with pure krishna tulsi, this varietal is characterized by its vibrant purple color while it brews and its bold, aromatic, and slightly spicy flavor notes.
- Earthy Ritual Tulsi: For a comforting and grounding experience. Made with pure rama tulsi, this gentle tea feels like a hug and has a floral, rich, and mellow flavor profile.
- Centered Ritual Tulsi: For a comforting and nurturing experience. Made with pure temperate tulsi and with fruity, sweet, and full-bodied flavor notes, this tea is aptly named as it helps you recenter.
- Clarifying Ritual Tulsi: For a light and refreshing experience and a deeper sense of awareness. Made with pure vana tulsi, this subtle tea has bright, citrusy flavor notes.
Perfect for tea lovers, those seeking to embrace self-care and ritual, and those who simply love tulsi, these organic tulsi teas can be purchased individually or in a gift box, which includes all four teas.
Benefits of Tulsi (Holy Basil) Tea
The tulsi plant (also known as holy basil) is a widely recognized herbal adaptogen that helps the body and mind adapt and respond to the stresses of everyday life. In Ayurveda, it is also used to foster healthy awareness and mental clarity, support healthy circulation, and it is traditionally used to support healthy lungs and a respiratory system.
Incredibly versatile, tulsi can be taken in many ways, from tablets to powder, but the most enjoyable way to take tulsi is to drink it as a tea. With an uplifting aroma and a delightful taste, you may choose to drink tulsi tea because you like it, and the many benefits of tulsi are a wonderful bonus.
Crafting Your Tea Ceremony
Create a transformative tea experience that awakens your senses and helps you connect to the intelligence of nature.
You may wish to journal, sit in silence, or share your ceremony with a friend. With practice and presence, your relationship with Ritual Tulsi will deepen and become a sacred allyship.
- Heat 8 oz water.
- Place one medallion in your teapot and add hot water. Watch the medallion unfurl, releasing its color, aroma, and energy.
- Wait several minutes, then pour a cup.
- Take a deep breath. Tune into your body. Notice what arises in you.
- Sip slowly and envision the tea as an elixir, infusing your whole being with tulsi’s divine gifts.
Offering the Highest Quality Organic Tulsi Tea for an Elevated Experience
In order to have the best tea experience, it's important to start with the best quality teas—and that goes all the way back to the fields. These certified organic tulsi plants are carefully tended from seed to harvest. At harvest time, they are cut by hand and then dried and garbled (a special term to mean cleaning and sorting the dried material).
Using a custom-built hydraulic press, the tulsi is then pressed into round medallion shapes, an excellent way (we believe the best way!) to preserve the flavor and essence of tulsi. The end result? A pure tulsi experience in every cup.
Your Questions About Tulsi Tea, Answered
How do I prepare tulsi tea? Does Ritual Tulsi need special preparation methods?
You can certainly prepare this Ritual Tulsi tea as you would any other tea: simply heat 8oz water, and pour the hot water over the tea medallion, either in a tea pot or in your cup, then sip and savor.
While this is absolutely fine, we invite you to create a tea ceremony that resonates with you. Establish sacred space—a place where you can step away from the distractions of daily life and settle in. As you brew, bring awareness to your body and your senses. As you sip, set the intention to reconnect with your sacred self as well as the intelligence of nature, as offered to you through tulsi.
When is it best to drink tulsi tea?
Because these herbal teas are caffeine free, you can enjoy them at any time during the day (or night). Whenever you do choose to drink it, we invite you to tune into your senses and enjoy all that tulsi has to offer.
Is tulsi tea safe during pregnancy? When is it not recommended?
It is not recommended to take tulsi while pregnant. While this is a gentle tea, we recommend you speak with your health practitioner if you are nursing, taking medications, or have a medical condition. Tulsi can also be too heating for those with high pitta in their prakriti or vikriti.
