Poached Pear Recipe and a Few Sweet Holiday Reminders [video]

I don't know who needs to hear this, but we've all been through a lot these past few years! And while the holiday season can be brimming with joy, it can also add to our stress if we don’t take proper care of ourselves.

This time of year can be very busy—full of cooking, shopping, family dynamics, and celebratory gatherings—and we can sometimes forget to rest.

This is your friendly reminder to be gentle with yourself.

As you navigate your holiday plans, remember to listen to your body and your heart. Make a commitment to yourself to respect your own needs even within the hectic hustle and bustle of the season.

It's okay to say no to plans that you don't have the capacity for or to leave the holiday party early. It's okay to bring a dish that meets your dietary preferences or skip a meal that doesn't make you feel good. It's okay to feel overwhelmed and need more alone time or extra quality sleep.

In short, feel your feelings. Be kind to yourself. And take things slow.

Give yourself permission to reflect and recharge each day so that you can show up as your best and brightest self. And if you find yourself craving a little extra comfort in the process, this simple and nourishing recipe will hit the spot!
