Castor Oil

posted in Our Products

Castor Oil has quickly become one of my very favorite beauty routines. It’s warm, oily, and heavy qualities do wonders for my eyes and lips.

Using castor oil on the eyes has been said to reduce puffiness, promote eyelash and eyebrow growth, and soothe irritation.

To reduce puffy eyes: Simply massage a few drops around the eyes, leave for 10 minutes, and gently wipe off with a warm washcloth. Don’t worry if you get oil in the eyes…it’s actually good for them!

To promote eyelash and eyebrow growth: With extra care and gentleness, massage a few drops of castor oil into the eyelashes and eyebrows before bed and leave on overnight. You can use an old pillowcase if you are concerned about staining your bedding.

To soothe irritated and tired eyes: You can actually insert 1–2 drops of oil in the eye. Use a wet, warm washcloth as a compress on the eyes for 1 minute then gently wipe off the excess oil around the eye.

Castor oil can also be used for an evening lip massage before bed. Just apply a few drops to your finger, gently massage into the lips, and leave on overnight. I love to see how juicy and full my lips are when I wake up!
