After graduating with a degree in International Studies, Megan followed her passion for experiencing new cultures and has traveled and lived in India, Istanbul, Germany and Croatia. Her yoga practice developed during these travels and continued to influence her professional career as she returned to Ashland to work with at-risk youth and facilitate young women’s empowerment groups. Having just completed an intensive year-long yoga and Ayurvedic lifestyle immersion and teacher training program, she is inspired to help others connect to source and support them in finding their own unique path.
How has Ayurveda changed your life?
It’s helped me create a nurturing, positive and beautiful relationship with my own body, mind and soul, and has inspired in me a supportive approach to health.
Which Banyan products are you currently using and why?
During the fall I use Stress Ease to keep me grounded and the Vata Massage oil to combat dryness.
When are you most likely to go out of balance and how do you bring yourself back in balance using Ayurveda?
If I am traveling too much my Vata increases so I always make sure I Travel Well, Stress Ease, and Vata Digest are in my carry-on.

“Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.” — MLK
Favorite sattvic meal/recipe?
My favorite spring/fall breakfast is poached apples with cloves, a grounding and refreshing way to start the day. Warm milk with cinnamon and nutmeg in the fall to put me to sleep at night! Calming, soothing, vata pacifying.
