How has Ayurveda changed your life?

It has lead me to explore Ayurvedic philosophy and the Ayurvedic lifestyle. Until I started working at Banyan, I had no knowledge of Ayurveda at all. It has definitely broadened my horizons.

Which Banyan products are you currently using and why?

My favorite Banyan products are Sunflower oil, Coconut oil, Triphala Guggulu, Stress Ease, and Mental Clarity. All of these products have improved my overall quality of life.

When are you most likely to go out of balance and how do you bring yourself back in balance using Ayurveda?

Actually, being predominantly pitta, the New Mexico climate, especially the summer months almost assures that I will be out of balance! Ayurveda has taught me what foods have pitta-friendly cooling properties and what foods I need to avoid. I have also learned the benefits of yoga (I’m still a beginner) and meditation. Also, it was really helpful to me to learn that you should drink water at room temperature rather than with ice, as I had been doing in the past.

Favorite hobbies?

My favorite hobbies are reading, thrift store bargain shopping, movies, and anything and everything having to do with nature. I’m big into tree hugging!

Favorite quote?

“The only reason man can’t fly is because he knows he can’t” and “Believing is comfort, knowing is bliss.”
