How has Ayurveda changed your life?
Well, I am now way more conscious of my digestion and constitution! Also connecting even deeper with plant medicine has been very meaningful. What a wonderful lens to see the world through.
Which Banyan products are you currently using and why?
Triphala and Healthy Kapha for my kapha self, as well as all of the balms, and I Travel Well, Stress Ease, and Tranquil Mind when life gets a bit busy.
When are you most likely to go out of balance and how do you bring yourself back in balance using Ayurveda?
In the cold! In Oregon, the cold wet winters get into my bones and I don’t want to move. Routine and yoga help me for sure, as well as shifting my diet and adding more warming spices and herbs!
Favorite place in the world?
There is a small, local, beach campsite on the Big Island of Hawaii. You can camp right on the sand, eat fruit, and bar-b-que with friends under a Hawaiian sunset with whales breaching right in front of you. When you wake up early and put on your snorkel gear there are pods of spinner dolphins right offshore waiting for you.
Yoga, hiking, gardening, cooking, and anything water related.
Who inspires you?
People completely resolved to live boldly from their spirit and heart.
Favorite sattvic meal / recipe?
I love Kitchari so much. Simmering the spices is such a wonderful experience. I like to make it and add extra rice, cilantro, lime, and avocado.
